Because it is important for citizens to understand and protect our source water, our superintendent and assistant superintendent schedule annual visits to all Delaware Valley School District 5th grade classes. The program describes how our water system works, the geology of our groundwater, how we use our water, our water shed, and the steps we need to take to protect our water. The classes include power point presentations and a water module demonstration of the way surface water filters into the ground and is cleaned as it moves toward our springs. We also have done presentations for the high school biology classes and given tours of the water plant to local scouts and environmental groups.
